The Wedding Capital of the World meets ~80,000 couples a year on the best day of
their lives, and then loses touch the moment the license is issued. The
Vegas Vows Forever Program changes that: an opt-in, partner-funded,
privacy-first way to keep couples connected to Las Vegas for the life of their
marriage, with keepsakes, anniversary perks, and a warm path back to renew their vows.
$2.2Bannual economic activity from the Las Vegas wedding industry (2023)
~80,000couples marry in Clark County every single year
~300weddings a day, more than any other place on Earth
Millionsof couples worldwide who said 'I do' in Las Vegas
The challenge today
We celebrate the wedding, and then we say goodbye forever.
Las Vegas is the best in the world at bringing couples in. We are far less practiced
at staying connected once they leave. That gap is a missed opportunity, emotional and
economic, and it is one the Clerk's office is uniquely positioned to close.
We meet couples on the best day of their lives, then we wave goodbye.
Roughly 80,000 couples a year walk into the Clark County Clerk's office, get their marriage license, celebrate, and fly home. After the license is issued, the relationship between Las Vegas and that couple simply ends. There is no thread connecting them back to the city that hosted one of the most important days of their lives.
The license is a beginning for them, and a dead end for us.
Today the marriage license is treated as a one-time transaction. Sign, stamp, done. But for the couple it is the start of a marriage that may last 50 years. We have a relationship that could span decades, and we are letting it lapse the moment they leave the counter.
A $2.2B economy depends on attraction and on couples coming back.
Las Vegas built the Wedding Capital of the World on its ability to draw couples in. But long-term tourism strength is not only about first visits, it is about repeat visits, anniversaries, vow renewals, and the stories couples tell their friends. We invest enormous energy attracting couples once and almost none staying connected to them after.
Other loyalty-driven industries would never let this happen.
Airlines, hotels, and casinos obsess over keeping customers connected after the first visit. The Wedding Capital of the World, host to one of the most emotionally significant purchases anyone ever makes, has no equivalent. We can change that, respectfully and at zero cost to couples or taxpayers.
Millions of past couples are quietly out of reach.
Over the decades, millions of couples worldwide said 'I do' in Las Vegas. Many would love a reason and a way to come back for an anniversary or a vow renewal. Today there is no warm, opt-in channel to reach them, so that goodwill sits idle instead of bringing visitors and dollars home.
Why the Clerk's office
This belongs to the Clerk, naturally, not awkwardly.
The Clark County Clerk does not run elections. The office issues marriage licenses,
performs civil ceremonies, and keeps the official record. That is precisely why Vegas
Vows Forever fits here, and almost nowhere else.
01
The Clerk already issues the marriage license
The Clark County Clerk is the office that issues roughly 80,000 marriage licenses a year. The relationship with every married couple already begins here. Building a respectful, opt-in way to honor that relationship is a natural extension of work the office already does, not a new bureaucracy.
02
The Clerk is the Commissioner of Civil Marriages
The Clerk also serves as Commissioner of Civil Marriages, performing civil ceremonies. That dual role makes the office uniquely positioned to offer a vow-renewal fast lane, connecting couples who first married here back to a ceremony when they are ready to recommit.
03
The Clerk is the trusted keeper of the record
Couples trust the Clerk with the official record of their marriage. That trust is exactly why the Clerk, not a private company, should set the privacy-first standard for any program touching couples, ensuring data is protected and never sold.
04
The Clerk's office is the front door to the Wedding Capital
For most couples, the Clerk's office is the first official step in their Las Vegas wedding. As the front door to the Wedding Capital of the World, it is the right place to extend a warm, lasting welcome that keeps couples connected for life.
The opportunity
The most loving relationship in all of tourism, waiting to be honored.
No transaction in any industry carries the lifelong meaning of a marriage. That is a
once-in-a-generation asset for Clark County, and it is sitting completely untapped.
The most emotional customer relationship in tourism
No other transaction carries the lifelong meaning of a marriage. A couple does not feel sentimental about a rental car. They feel deeply about where they got married. That emotional bond is an extraordinary, underused asset for Clark County.
Built-in reasons to return, every single year
Every marriage comes with a recurring anniversary. That is a natural, annual, emotionally meaningful trigger to invite couples back to Las Vegas. Milestone years, 1, 5, 10, 25, are even bigger moments worth celebrating in the city where it all started.
Millions of past Vegas couples are quiet ambassadors
Millions of couples worldwide were married in Las Vegas. Each is a potential ambassador who already loves the city. A warm, opt-in program turns that goodwill into repeat visits, referrals, and lifelong affection for the Wedding Capital.
Partners are eager to reach exactly these guests
Hotels, resorts, shows, and restaurants spend heavily to reach couples celebrating a milestone. A Clerk-facilitated, privacy-first program lets willing partners offer real perks to opted-in couples, funding the program without spending a public dollar.
A reputation no other city can claim
Plenty of places host weddings. None can credibly promise to honor couples for the life of their marriage at this scale. Being the most caring wedding destination on Earth, not just the busiest, is a reputation Clark County alone can own.
Goodwill that compounds over decades
Each year a couple returns, they bring stories, friends, and new couples considering Las Vegas. A warm, opt-in relationship is an asset that grows quietly and steadily, anniversary after anniversary.
The economic case
Love is the largest industry we never measured as one.
The numbers behind the Wedding Capital of the World are staggering, and they make the
case for staying connected to couples plainly, in dollars and in heart.
$2.2B
in annual economic activity flows from the Las Vegas wedding industry (2023), the engine this program is built to protect and grow.
~80,000
couples marry in Clark County each year, the steady stream of new relationships the program can keep connected to the city.
~300/day
weddings happen here daily, more than anywhere else on Earth, a scale no other community can match.
Millions
of couples worldwide were married in Las Vegas over the decades, a vast, affectionate audience waiting to be welcomed back.
$0
asked of taxpayers, the program is partner-funded and built to add value rather than cost it.
Lifetime
is the time horizon: not a single transaction, but a relationship that can span 50 years of marriage.
Repeat
visits are the prize: anniversaries, vow renewals, and milestone trips that bring couples, and their dollars, back to Las Vegas year after year.
The vision
The Vegas Vows Forever Program
An opt-in anniversary loyalty program for the Wedding Capital of the World, built to be
privacy-first, free to couples, and revenue-positive through willing partners. Six pieces,
one promise: stay close to the couples who chose Las Vegas for the most important day of
their lives.
A digital keepsake certificate
Every couple who opts in receives a beautifully designed digital keepsake of their Las Vegas wedding day, a memento they can keep, print, and share. It is sentimental, shareable, and a lasting reminder of where their marriage began.
Anniversary reminders, sent with love
A gentle, opt-in anniversary reminder each year, never spam, always easy to turn off, celebrates the couple and invites them to come mark the day where it started.
Partner perks
Opted-in couples gain access to real perks from participating hotels, shows, and restaurants, anniversary offers, room upgrades, and dining experiences provided voluntarily by partners, not taxpayers.
Milestone rewards
First anniversary, fifth, tenth, twenty-fifth, each milestone unlocks a special keepsake and partner reward, giving couples a reason to celebrate the big years in Las Vegas.
A vow-renewal fast lane
Couples returning to renew their vows get a streamlined path, making it effortless to recommit in the very city where they first said 'I do.'
Privacy-first, opt-in, free
The program is strictly opt-in, free to couples, and funded by partners. Personal data is protected, never sold, and every couple can unsubscribe in one click at any time.
Open to couples anywhere
Out-of-state and international couples are welcome to opt in, turning the millions who married here into lifelong friends of the city, wherever they live.
Measured and accountable
Participation and economic impact are tracked and published openly, so the program proves its value to residents, or is held accountable if it does not.
Privacy-first. Opt-in. Free to couples. Revenue-positive through partners. Every piece
designed to honor the meaning of marriage and the business of an unforgettable experience.
Design principles
Six promises the program is built on.
Before a single keepsake is designed or a single partner is signed, these principles
govern every decision.
Honor the meaning first
A wedding is sacred to the couple. Everything the program does must respect that meaning before it considers anything else. Sentiment comes before commerce, always.
Always the couple's choice
Nothing happens without a couple's active, informed permission. Opt-in is the default, opt-out is one click, and the couple is in control at every step.
Privacy is non-negotiable
Couples trust us with one of the most personal records of their lives. That trust is protected with strong data practices, clear terms, and a promise never to sell their information.
Zero burden on taxpayers
The program is designed to fund itself through willing partners. The public budget is never asked to subsidize a perk, a reminder, or a keepsake.
Worthy of the Wedding Capital
If Las Vegas is going to host more weddings than anywhere on Earth, the experience it offers couples, for life, should be the best on Earth too.
Measured and transparent
Repeat visits, partner participation, and economic impact are tracked and reported openly, so residents can see the program working, or hold it accountable.
How it works
From "I do" to a lifetime of coming back, in six warm steps.
Nothing about getting married in Clark County changes. The program simply adds an
opt-in invitation to stay connected, entirely on the couple's terms.
1
Marry in Clark County
A couple obtains their marriage license and gets married in Clark County, exactly as they do today. Nothing about the existing process changes.
2
Opt in, completely voluntary
At the time of the license, or any time afterward, the couple chooses to join the Vegas Vows Forever Program. If they prefer to do nothing, that is perfectly fine. Joining is always their choice.
3
Receive a digital keepsake
Couples who opt in receive a designed digital keepsake certificate commemorating their Las Vegas wedding day, a memento to keep and share.
4
Get anniversary reminders and perks
Each year, an opt-in anniversary reminder celebrates the couple and shares perks from participating partners, easy to enjoy, easy to mute, easy to leave.
5
Unlock milestone rewards
At 1, 5, 10, and 25 years, couples unlock special milestone keepsakes and partner rewards worth celebrating in the city where their marriage began.
6
Come back to renew vows
When couples are ready to recommit, a vow-renewal fast lane makes returning to Las Vegas to renew their vows simple, warm, and memorable.
A couple's journey
One license. A lifetime of coming home.
Here is how the program could touch a single couple, gently, on their terms, across
twenty-five years of marriage.
Wedding day
They say 'I do' in Las Vegas
A couple gets their marriage license from the Clark County Clerk, celebrates, and, at the counter, sees a simple invitation to join Vegas Vows Forever. They opt in.
That evening
Their keepsake arrives
Before they have even left the city, a beautifully designed digital keepsake of their wedding day lands in their inbox. They share it with family that night.
First anniversary
A warm reminder, a real perk
One year later, a thoughtful anniversary note arrives with an offer from a partner hotel. They book a weekend and come back to the city where it started.
Fifth anniversary
A milestone worth celebrating
At five years, a special milestone keepsake and a bigger partner reward make returning to Las Vegas an easy yes. They bring friends this time.
Tenth anniversary
They renew their vows
A decade in, the vow-renewal fast lane makes recommitting effortless. They renew their vows in Las Vegas, surrounded by the people they love.
Twenty-fifth anniversary
Silver, in the city that started it all
Twenty-five years later, the silver-anniversary keepsake and premium rewards bring them home one more time, proof that a single license became a lifelong relationship.
The milestone ladder
Every year matters. Some years matter most.
The program celebrates each anniversary, and saves its biggest keepsakes and rewards for
the milestone years couples treasure the most.
